Hey Guys! I’m so excited about what is coming up in our Youth Ministry! God is working in our students and they are opening their lives to Him in new ways. Our BIG Spring event is D-Now. The theme for D-Now is coming out of our monthly theme (ROMANS) which is the Romans 12:1-2. A Disciple Now is a weekend retreat where our students stay in homes provided by our own church members instead of going away to an isolated setting or camp.We have invited a guest Speaker and a guest Worship leader to help our students see the book of Romans in a new light. College students from Level College, which is apart of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, are coming to help lead in-home sessions through out the weekend.
Our worship leader for the weekend will be Jacob Johnson who is originally from Travelers Rest, SC. He is currently the worship leader at his home church. His debut CD is called Est. 1986.
Our speaker for the weekend will be Jeremiah Verdin who is originally from Taylors, SC, but is now a Seminary student at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has a Bachelor’s in Christian Studies from North Greenville University in Tigerville, SC. He is the Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church in LaPlace, LA.
