Round Oak and South Africa

So it's official I am the Minister of Youth/Students at Round Oak Baptist Church in Corbin, VA! I have been here for 5 days so far hahaha! It's strange because I don't feel like I just started. I already get text messages at random times of the morning/night and have had a good conversation with a girl about quiet times... RELATIONAL MINISTRY all the way! We are going to Winter Jam on Sunday so that should be fun to get to hang out with the youth in a different atmosphere! I'm totally jazzed about all that is happening! I have never been to a church this size and seen 10 youth volunteers! It's awesome!



So my dad left yest. for South Africa and I just got a call that my Dad made it safely! I'm so excited for him!

AMAZING to look at old blogs and how discouraged I was and where I am now! GOD IS SO GOOD!

Thinking

So as I write at almost midnight on Feb. 1st. I have been bombarded with a friend of mine calling me and complaining about not having a significant other... He talks about other girls and all of that jazz, but we have all of the same standards and want the same things in life... OH how my life is like this ALL THE FREAKING TIME. Guys always see me as a good friend that they can confide in BUT it kills me to think that no one can see themselves with me... WHAT THE CRAP?!


Well, back to real life! I met some of the students at Round Oak and I totally loved it. I think I could totally fit there... All but one volunteer that thinks he is the end all be all for spiritual things and some of which I do not agree... ARG! I don't think he will be a huge problem though. Well, I'm gonna check into summer camps PEACE!
