Sitting at my Desk

So I am sitting at my desk looking at all of the things that I "have" to get done before the weekend and I realize how blessed I truly am to be working here and not feeling like I am working. My mom always told me that if you do what you love you will never have to work a day in your life and I totally get it now! I mean I am planning the summer and already have alot of it in place such as camp (Pieces) and Kings Fest. The theme Pieces come from a song by Red called Pieces. This song has really been on my heart lately. With some of my kids they are in pieces and searching and I hope camp can help them to see that only God can put them together.

God has totally blessed me by allowing me to work here at Round Oak. This church REALLY cares about the least of these. We have a wood cutting ministry and multiple food ministries and are involved with the food bank and homeless shelter. When I look at my students and see the potential I want to sob. I don't know if it's who used to be in charge (like the students say it is) or if they really don't care about growing in Christ. I hope to oneday say that there are growing vibrant Christians in my Youth Group, but as of right now all I can do is build relationships and hopefully they will see something in me they want and that is a REAL relationship with Christ.
