Born to Die

Last Friday I posted about listening to Christmas music year 'round. Well, this is one of those songs I listen to all year. Shane & Shane recorded this song last year on their Glory in the Highest Christmas Album. It is FANTASTIC! The song is title Born to Die. It really puts into prosepective how with out Christmas there could be no Easter... without Christ being born he could not have died for our sins. WoW! God had it all worked out from the beginning! He knew He was going to send His son to earth to die for us. Not just to live, but to die and then be raised so that we can be raised one day! John 3:16-17 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but for the world to be saved through Him." So today I want you to meditate on the words below, remembering how Christ laid His life down for YOU, WILLINGLY! Enjoy!

When the babe was born.
In a manger on the hay.
God saw a veil torn.
He saw Good Friday.
He was born to die.

Gold laid before the Christ.
Incense, His presence is sweet.
Myrrh to signify victory over death's sting.
He was born to die.

It came in a dream.
To Joseph late on night.
That Herod sought the King.
But could not take His life.
He was born to die.He said, "You won't take my life.
You won't take my life.
You won't take my life...
I lay it down."

We came here today
to celebrate His birth.
But let us not forget
why Jesus came to earth.
He was born to die.
