Yearning

I love the word Yearn. It's a verb that means to have an intense feeling of loss or lack and longing for something. Do you yearn for anything? Shane and Shane have a song called Yearn. The Lyrics are below and underneath the lyrics are the scripture verses that inspired the song. So Check it!

So What is the difference between today's song and yesterday's? This song is totally focused on God, where as yesterday it focused on a false teenage dream. The chorus of Yearn gets me every time...

When was the last time we truly YEARNED for God? When was the last time you wanted to just dwell with Him in His presence? I was in a meeting with a bunch of pastor's not to long ago and they were confessing about not having that passion to just dwell with God OR they were too busy to do so... As a Youth Pastor I need to stay on my face before God, Yearning for Him!

So today I'm going to leave you with some encouragement... Get away for a few minutes and just dwell with God... Don't talk, just listen!
