Time for Change

Fall is my FAVORITE time of year! Fall is time for change. I'm in Virginia this week and fall is all around me! I had Brunswick Stew for lunch while sitting outside in a sweatshirt and sweatpants... The leaves are changing colors, acorns are dropping and so are the temperatures!
As I am taking time to relax and become rejuvenated before the next half of the semester I am reminded of the changes that happen in our lives. The biggest changes in our lives normally happen with school and relationships. Think about that for a minute and then continue to read. As a kid life changes when we go to school for the first time, then again at the beginning of middle school, then high school! Going to college or moving out for the first time is a huge change. What about getting married or having kids?! HUGE life changes! After you get married or have kids your life is never the same! There is one change in life that is a choice that trumps all the others... Choosing to have a relationship with Christ! Christ is the one change that can and should affect the rest of your changes. Here's the kicker... you have to LET Christ affect your life. Some people don't like letting go of their lives and letting God change it, but we need too!

At Winfree Memorial Church yesterday the pastor talked about failure and how everyone fails! That's right EVERYONE FAILS! In the past year I have felt like a huge failure, but this fall I have begun to see a change in my life. I don't feel like a failure anymore! The change of the season has shown me that my outlook can change. So, today I want you to remember that if you feel like a failure use that as a time to change. This time of change can become your favorite season!
