Pieces

For a while now, I have loved a song by Red. It is called Pieces... Every time I hear it I get lost in it. It's all about where we are... we are scattered and broken. We try to put ourselves together all the time. We think we can do it on our own... BUT GUESS WHAT?! We can't! As much as we try we can't be whole until we let God put us together! When we do that our lives might not get better, but we can get through it easier! So here are the lyrics!

You know it's a good song when after you sing it at the youth someone turns around and says, "Wow, that song was good can I get it?!" How many times have you tried to put yourself back together and failed? For me all throughout my teenage years I tried.... I tried hard to live on my own without the help of God. Something else I have been thinking about lately is how God never said that following Him was going to be easy and for some of us when life gets hard we THINK God isn't there... The truth is He never left us.... In James 1:2-3 it say, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." In the NLT perseverance is said endurance... I love thinking about it as endurance! We need endurance to run the race God has set out for us. So when we are being tested and we are broken into pieces remember that the only one who can put us back together is God!
