Black and White

So, some of you know..... BUT I am addicted to Black and White! It's kinda strange, but I can't help it! Ever since I was able to pick out my own outfits I always chose a black one... Last Christmas I had a Christmas Tree in my Bathroom.... with just black ornaments! It was FABULOUS!!! Seriously! Look at the picture! AWESOME! Amber and I had a tree in the living room that I bought silver filler ornaments for, our tree looked a little bare the year before when all of my students took the ornaments I made them home. So, I went to Ikea and found some FABULOUS plastic silver ornaments! I think the best part of them is that Jazzy can knock them down and they won't bust!!
Well, this year since I have moved to NOLA I asked my mom if we could put up my tree! I bought some black and silver ribbon added the silver filler balls and the black ornaments from the black tree and a few others that I had and THIS is how it turned out! AHHH! It's awesome and SOOOooooo ME! :) all of my favorite things in one little spot! :) YaY! When my dad first heard I was putting up the black and silver tree he kinda groaned... yeah, that's right he didn't have faith that it was going to look spectacular! haha!  He doesn't share my LOVE for black and white!
My awesome friend Tara showed me a Christmas ball wreath she made last year. Well, I thought it was amazing! So I made one with Christmas balls from the $1 spot in Target! Add a bow from the Christmas tree Ribbon and HELLOOOOOOO, Gorgeous! It was SO simple... here's the process.... buy Christmas balls, hot glue the toppers onto the balls, find a wire hanger, untwist and straighten hanger, string Christmas balls, connect hanger back together, add bow!
Now Let me show you the BEST Black and White thing from my time at home... Now, it's not complete, but it's gonna be FAAABULOUS  thanks to my amazing MOMMA! Here's the story... When Nanny Died she left me her 8ft Blue Crushed Velvet Couch (let me repeat BLUE crushed VELVET, who does that?!) and the 2 chairs that go with it.... I LOVE the couch, but the color has GOT TO GO!  So, My mom is covering the couch BLACK!! My mom is so talented! She really is!
The Fun part is that one side of every cushion is going to be ZEBRA!!

Fabulous! I'm a huge fan of black and white myself...and red. When I was teaching, I was told by several students that I was a bit of hair color and make-up from completely looking goth. Hilarious! I love the tree...and will probably be making a wreath! Thanks girl! Praying for ya!

and yes, i groaned... black and white christmas tree? uggh... yet it really turned out well... reminded me of days of King William Raiders days..."tick, tick, tick, tick .... boom dynamite!" so i thought by the time you got home i'd go find a silver tree with black ornamentst then get one of those party lights that changes colors and rotates ... along with the tree.

now that's worth a groan....

arielle you have always amused me... i guess itsa DNA thing!

I love that Jazzy is in both couch photos. She has to be in the middle of everything! :-)
